6 Months Old!

My sweet girl is 6 months old today! She has had such an eventful month, and done so many new things. She has taken her first trip to the beach (pictures coming soon), rolled over from her back to belly and (just two days ago) finally rolled over from her belly to back. She also has gotten her first tooth and started solid food. She's practically grown!

Jenna is still breastfeeding, and has started refusing to take a bottle at all. I'm glad she loves me, and loves breastfeeding, but sure do wish she would take a bottle once in a while so I could get out of the house alone.

This is my new favorite picture of Jenna. Love that smile!

She still isn't the best sleeper, but is getting better. She'll go anywhere between 8 and 10 hours between feedings at night and I'm very thankful for that. Her daytime sleep is still pretty sporadic, but I'm hoping that this month she'll finally start napping more regularly.

She was a little surprised when I took this picture. Notice the wet mark on her dress from where she spit up during picture time.

Jenna Boo is still a little girl. I'll find out exactly how much she weighs in a couple of weeks when I take her for her check-up at the doctor's office. I do know that she weighed 13 lbs. 4 oz (with her clothes and wet diaper on) two weeks ago when I took her to the doctor because she was sick.

Here she is looking surprised again. . . I love how her little ears stick out. I'm sure once her hair grows it'll cover them, but for now they're so cute.

She is doing all sorts of new things this month. . . she loves to put everything in her mouth, and will pick up just about anything she can get her little hands on. She also has started to really pay attention to Trevor a lot more, and loves to watch him and smile at him. She also received her first kiss this past weekend. In the church nursery one of her friends reached right over and kissed her on the lips! Don't worry, I called his mom and she's going to have a talk with him.

This picture is a little inappropriate. . . I'm going to have to talk to her about keeping her dress down.

She's not eating much food yet, but enjoys a small amount of oatmeal each morning. I hadn't planned on starting her on solids until after she turned six months, but she was trying to eat my food anytime I was holding her while I was holding food. I figured she was ready to at least give it a try. She's doing really well so far, and seems to enjoy it. This is definitely one area where she's doing better than her brother did!

And one last picture with her big bow. Notice that she only smiled while she was wearing her bow. I think she loves them as much as me!
