Snow Day!

This weekend we got about 18" of snow in Roanoke, so we had to spend some time playing in it. Here are a few pictures of our fun. The rest can be found in our new gallery by clicking here.

This first picture is from Friday afternoon. The snow had just started, and was already coming down pretty hard. Trevor loved playing while the snow was falling and hitting him in the face.

Here he is on Saturday morning all ready to go play. It took us a while to get ready, so he spent about 10 minutes dressed like this and asking us, "Ready to pway (play)?"

He loved eating the snow! He sat and ate for a while before I made him get up and play again. "Playing" meant walking around in the deep snow. Trevor did a great job keeping his balance, and picking his feet up really high so that he could walk around.

Despite how this picture looks, I didn't spend the whole time sitting in a chair. Trevor and I started cleaning off my car, but it proved to be more strenuous than I can handle at this point in my pregnancy so Cory got out a beach chair so I could rest for a minute.

Trevor cleaned off the front of my car all by himself. We had to remind him not to eat snow off the car.

After we got back inside, Trevor's feet were so cold that we let him open a Christmas present early! He loved his new Elmo slippers, and couldn't stop looking at them.

Saturday night our power went out for about 2 hours, but we were able to stay warm until it came back on. We're so thankful that our outage only last two hours considering our neighbor's was out all day (their house got down to 45 degrees!). We didn't go out in the snow today because Trevor has had a fever since yesterday after his nap, but Cory did manage to get to the store for us. Even with the fever, we've had a great weekend together as a family.
