I haven't been very good about updating with information about the new baby, so I thought I'd let you know what's going on these days. I am currently 38 weeks and 1 day pregnant. For various reasons my doctor has decided that it is a good idea for me to be induced when I'm 39 weeks. That means that if this baby doesn't come on its own before Tues, Dec. 29th, we'll be heading to the hospital. I'd really like to go into labor on my own, but Cory and I are both very comfortable with being induced a little early. However, we didn't expect to be induced early, so we've been scrambling the past week to finish up all those last minutes things that we hadn't done yet. The room is almost done, the bassinet is set up in our room, and clothes are washed and ready! Trevor loves to hang out in the new baby's room, and thinks everything in there is fun to play with. He doesn't seem bothered at all by his old crib being in there, and actually hasn't seemed to even notice that it was his crib. Some friends from our Sunday School class had a "celebration dinner" for the new baby, and we got quite a few things we needed. It was wonderful to spend time with everyone and know that our new little baby is already loved by so many. In case anyone is wondering why I'm not using words like he/she, him, her it's because my dad doesn't want to know the sex of the baby. Having said that, Dad, if you're reading this don't look at the picture of the incredibly cute cake we had at the dinner for the baby.
Love the videos! Congratulations! I am so excited for all of you, and hoping that everything is going well!
