From 6-7 months Drew has grown and developed a ton! He weighs close to 16 lbs (not sure exact weight because we didn't have a check up this month) and is getting longer every day. He is mobile, but doesn't crawl in the traditional way. He sometimes scoots, but will also get up on all four, scoot his legs up under himself, and then pounce like a cat.
Drew eats cereal twice a day and has also tried avocado, sweet potatoes, pears, apples, and bananas. He doesn't seem to dislike any food, but he usually doesn't act like he likes it the first time he eats it either. Sometimes he'll try a new food and promptly put his thumb in his mouth so that we can't feed him any more.
We had a visit to a pediatric gastroenterologist this month due to low weight gain between 4 and 6 months. The doctor couldn't find any real reason for his lack of weight gain and suspects he just needs more calories each day. He's a very active boy, so that makes sense.
Drew isn't a fan of sleeping all night. Most nights he wakes up twice to eat and sometimes will wake 3 times. I don't love missing all that sleep, but since he needs extra caolries I feed him every time. It also gives me some uninterrupted snuggle time which I do love!
He's such a sweet boy and once again I'm so thankful he's part of our family. The Lord has blessed us greatly with our three children!
