4!

Somehow this little guy. . .

Has turned 4 become this big boy!

Trevor is an amazing kid! He loves to laugh, play, go places, and get his own way. We've seen such growth in him this past year, and are so excited at how God is growing and maturing our boy! He's still not a big fan of being told "no" (but who is?), but is finally learning that it's better to just accept our answer than to try to have his own way.

Trevor goes to preschool three days a week (M-W-F) and has some trouble sharing with the kids, but is doing so much better than last year, overall. His teachers are constantly telling us how smart he is, and how impressed they are with everything he knows. He loves his teacher, Miss Amanda, and recently told me that she is always nice and never mean. . . high praise from our energetic boy who will tell us we're mean if we don't do what he wants. He loves going to school and playing with the other boys there.

Trevor is still a wonderful big brother. He loves Jenna so much and will often ask to wear his big brother shirt (especially on days she's wearing her little sister shirt). It's not unusual for Trevor and Jenna to play together in the basement while I'm fixing lunch, putting away dishes, or doing something else up stairs. Jenna also loves Trevor, and will frantically ask for "Bubby" when he's at school. She is never happier than when I tell her we're going to go pick Bubby up from school!

Trevor is imaginative. He loves to play super heros and has an alter ego named "Super Trevor". Super Trevor always saves the day from the mean people, but he has to stay home from school and church or else he might end up capturing the other kids. One day Trevor decided to be a narrator and for an entire afternoon he narrated everything we all did. It was quite funny to hear him ask us a question, pause, say, "And then Mommy said," and pause again for me to answer him. But, I'm glad it only lasted for an afternoon.

We've also seen growth in Trevor's understanding of grace. He knows that Jesus died to show us grace so we don't have a consequence for our sins because He loves us. There is obviously still much to be learned and to understand, but we're thankful that God has seen fit to give him the understanding He has at Trevor's young age.

We love our boy and are so excited to see what God will do in his life this year!
