Our Jenna girl is 9 months old, and she is growing! Her last check up was several weeks ago, but she weighed 14 lbs 7 oz which was a weight gain of 9 oz in one month! We're so proud of her, and thankful to God that she is growing well. She goes to a check up with her pediatric gastroenterologist next week, so we'll find out how much weight she's gained since her last appointment at that time. We're praying that at that point her weight will be adequate enough for her to be released from his care and just remain in the care of her primary pediatrician.
Her development is also taking off. She loves to scoot all over any slick floor on her bottom (she doesn't have enough force behind her scooting to make it over carpeting), but still isn't making any attempts to crawl. She has started lunging for toys that are out of her reach, so I think once she figures out how to steady her weight on her arms she'll start getting into the crawling position. Her favorite trick is to wave at people when they say hi to her, and she even said "Hi" to Trevor while waving at him yesterday! (They still love each other so much!)
For a girl as little as her, she loves to eat. She will grunt and screech if she's in her high chair and isn't being fed. This week she has been letting me know that she wants to feed herself, but I'm not quite ready for that yet. Maybe after her next check up if her weight is good I'll feel more comfortable with it. I like knowing how many calories she's eating each meal right now.
Our girl is so fun and happy! She is the sweetie in the nursery at church (what a change from four months ago), and everyone loves to see her come in each week. People who didn't know her during her first six months are shocked when they find out how much she used to cry.
Now, for pictures:
