It's been quite some time since I've done an update on Trevor, so I thought I'd devote a post to him. Trevor is now 2 years and 4 months old. I realized yesterday that it was his "month day" since it was the 16th, and decided to tell him. I said, very excitedly, "Trevor, it's your month day" (I know that phrase doesn't make sense, but I don't know how else to say it). He looked over at me and said "Yeah!!" Then, he ran over, gave me a big hug, and said "Thank you so much!" It was so sweet and hilarious all at once. That story exemplifies so much about Trevor right now. He's easily excited, very loving, and always saying things that make me laugh.
Here is Trevor in pictures:

Trevor has loved playing in the snow. This picture shows him trying to get himself ready to go out to play one morning when he thought I was taking too long to help him. Since he doesn't have any snow boots we've been putting a sandwich bag on his feet between two pairs of socks to keep his feet dry. While I was taking care of Jenna, Trevor found the bags and started getting ready to go play.
Cory's parents got Trevor some new bedding for Valentine's Day. He loves his "big boy bed" and really thinks it's great to have a flat sheet and "big blankey" like Mommy and Daddy. Trevor is so proud of being a big boy and often tells us that he is one. To prove it to us, he used the potty for the first time on Monday (2/15/10). I haven't started potty training him at all (and actually have been intentionally keeping the child potty in the basement away from him), but he will sometimes ask to sit on the potty. This past Monday he told me he needed to poo-poo on the potty, so I sat him on it, and let him try. After a minute or so I heard a distinct tinkling sound, and Trevor said "I did it, I did it!" He was so proud! He hasn't shown any interest since then, but I'm still so proud.
This is Trevor hanging out in the toy basket at Cory's parent's house. He loves playing with all of his toys and has gotten very creative. The other night at dinner he ate his bread into the (somewhat misshapen) shape of a giraffe, and showed it to us. He loves to make his stuffed animals have conversations with each other and often spends the morning taking them with him everywhere he goes.
This is another example of Trevor's creativity. He found Cory's snow gloves and decided they would make great shoes. He walked all over the house for over an hour with the gloves on his feet. You can tell from the picture that he wasn't in the mood to pose for me.

I just think that this picture is hilarious! You can't tell very well from this pic, but these pajamas make him look like a skinny string bean, and I thought it was so funny to see his little legs running around. He is still a tall little guy, and it is not unusual for strangers to ask if he's three. He hasn't put on much weight in the past 4 months, but is healthy so I'm not concerned about it.
And, finally, here is a picture of our big boy with our little lady. Trevor is a great big brother! He loves to give Jenna hugs and kisses and tells us every day "Baby Sister so cute!" We've been very happy that he hasn't shown any jealousy or anger towards Jenna, but he can get rough with her when he gets excited. This picture is from yesterday morning when Jenna and I went to get Trevor up. I asked him if he wanted Jenna to lay in his bed and he said yes. After I laid her down he wanted me to take some pictures. Trevor also loves to help us clean up diapers. Cory and I just throw them into a pile on the kitchen floor and Trevor will pick them up and put them into a trash bag. If we try to throw one away for him he gets upset that we're not letting him help.
We're so proud of how Trevor is growing and changing. He has become much more independent (which also creates more discipline issues at times), loving, and mature. It's so hard to believe that he is almost 2 1/2!
