Jenna's a Month Old!

It's hard to believe that our little girl is already one month old. This month has gone by so quickly and we can't believe that she's getting so big so fast. Here are some pictures of Jenna from her first month.

One month!

At one month old, Jenna isn't the easiest baby around. She's not a great sleeper and prefers to be held by mommy (all the time), but is doing a good job feeding. So far, she is being exclusively breastfed, and we're thankful that it's working out. She has started tracking (following) items with her eyes at times and will now focus on objects that interest her. She also hit another milestone this week when she started producing tears when she cries. It seems even sadder now when she cries.

Jenna is also one of the noisiest babies I've ever been around. Not only does she have a forceful cry, but she is always making some type of sound. She grunts and growls when she's awake, if she's sleeping, and even while she's eating. I think that at least some of her fussiness is due to either gas or reflux because the grunts she makes while eating sound like she might be in pain. She will see the doctor on Wednesday for her one month check-up and I plan on talking to him about her stomach at that time. I will also find out her current weight and length. I will post her current stats after we go see him.

Despite the fact that we're exhausted we all love having Jenna in our family. Trevor loves to give Baby Sister kisses and Cory and I have to watch him or else he will smother her with his love as he hugs her. She is usually referred to as Baby Sister, but we also call her Jenna Boo, Boo-Boo, and, of course, Jenna. She loves to cuddle with us and will curl up in a ball in our arms when we hold her. We're looking forward to watching her grow and develop, and seeing how she and Trevor interact as they both get older.
